The day started early on the Saturday morning setting up the hall, flower arrangements, table decorations, by the time we had finished the hall looked great, thanks to my merry band of helpers.
Both bands arrived early, thank goodness, and practised their music, the chefs had been working hard all day, photographer arrived, bucks fizz opened and we were now just waiting for everybody to arrive….. I can honestly say, you all looked fantastic, well done. We were serenaded by Frankie Martin during our 3 course meal, then to the speeches. Very nerve racking, Rob and Sarah Jane from Willow were great, I was a little nervous (say no more) Raffle tickets sold and the lovely Sandra and Rebecca sold tickets for their board game…instant success. We then danced the rest of the night away to “Stars of Swing”
The raffle was drawn with 5 great prizes, Kindle, Samsung tablet and 3 hampers with wine and food. Willow donated a Tottenham shirt signed by Jimmy Greeves, which was auctioned off. We ended the evening again dancing the night away to Stars of Swing.
A fabulous night was had by all, thanks to all the chefs, waiters/waitresses, my helpers and to you all for coming. Finally we raised an amazing £2600.
