A former Premier League star is dusting off his boots to play in a charity football match at Great Cornard Football Ground on Saturday 2nd June 2012.
Ruel Fox, a winger who played for Norwich City, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Bromwhich Albion before retiring in 2002, is making a comeback for LeeStock United in Saturday’s Lee Dunford Memorial Cup.
The match, which will be held at Cornard United’s Blackhouse Lane ground, is played every year between LeeStock United – an invitation side made up of Lee’s friends – and Sudbury Sunday league team White Horse Razors.
The match is part of the build-up to LeeStock. which raises money for the Willow Foundation in memory of Lee, who was helped by the charity before his death from cancer in 2006.
The match is free entry, with doors opening at 1pm for a 2pm kick off.
