Forming originally for a local ‘Battle of the Bands’ competition, in which we claimed first prize, we immediately saw potential in not only ourselves as a band but also of the high-energy, upbeat sound that pleased our audience so much. This first relatively small success spurred us on to take our music as far as we could, and we haven’t looked back since.
As well as establishing a great reputation with pub circuits, small venues and community events all across the UK, we are very pleased to say that we have played London’s infamous O2 Arena, during the ‘Live and Unsigned’ competition. Overall, we placed in the top twenty acts out of an initial ten-thousand, which has led us to some fantastic opportunities.
Our networking has blown open since then and has allowed us to play some very well known scooter rally festivals at Skegness and Mersey Island. As well as this, we now have a sponsorship/merchandise deal with Going Underground Halstead, and we even had the BBC open their studio doors to us, which proved to be a very encouraging and productive session.
We now continue our mission of bringing ska and reggae to the attention of the modern music scene, with our fun and yet consistent professional approach. The Two Steps Twice sound never fails to get a crowd going, from small local pubs, to the O2 Arena itself.
