We’re pleased to announce our main headline act for LeeStock 2017 is Newton Faulkner.
Newton rose to fame in 2007 when his debut album ‘Hand Build By Robots’, reached the top of the album charts, deposing Amy Winehouse, selling a million and spending a year in the Top 40. It was eventually certified as double platinum in the UK. The album produced three singles, with ‘Dream Catch Me’ reaching the top 10 in the UK singles chart.
After a freak accident that left the singer songwriter with a badly damaged right wrist, Newton returned in 2009 with his follow up album ‘Rebuilt by Humans’ reaching number 3 in the UK album charts. A second number one record was released in 2012 entitled ‘Write It On Your Skin’. Further album releases include ‘Studio Zoo’ in 2013 and his latest offering ‘Human Love’ released in 2015.
We’re very pleased to have him confirmed for Saturday 27th May 2017, and look forward to welcoming him to the grounds of Melford Hall this Spring Bank Holiday.
