Best known as the frontman in The Bluetones, Mark Morriss released his debut solo album Memory Muscle in 2008.
Getting his hands dirty with his own set of songs has been an inspiring experience for Morriss who started trying them out acoustically at open-mic nights in London way back in 2004: I’d just turn up with my guitar, play five or six songs, along with everyone else. I didn’t want any special favours, and just enjoyed the experience of stripping things right back down.’
Sadly, The Bluetones are no longer writing and performing. They decided to split after a farewell tour back in September 2011. The band had been together for 17 years and had recorded 6 albums. At least we still have Mark performing all the great Bluetones hits around the country and will be appearing once again for LeeStock on 26th May 2013.

Mark headlined Sunday’s line up at LeeStock 2011 and also played in 2012 at The MEL Group Stadium. We’re delighted to welcome him back to the Suffolk live music scene. An exceptionally popular performer last year, Mark really bought into the reason behind the festival:
I’d just like to say that the atmosphere at last year’s event was so enjoyable that it was a very easy decision to return this year to help raise money and awareness for a great charity that is clearly very close to the heart of many local people.”
