Ash Watts; Arsing about for charity – LeeStock 2010
Ash Watts raised over £1,000.00 for LeeStock in 2010, in what looked to be one of the most painful contributions to the Willow Foundation via LeeStock.
When discussing a potential tattoo with organizer Edd Keogh, Ash agreed it needed to be something he didn’t like if he was going to raise a lot of money.
Not known for his mainstream likes and dis-likes, Ash has never enjoyed the hugely popular TV show X Factor. Worse than the show itself, Ash really didn’t like the Irish twins, and so the decision would be made. If Ash could raise over £1,000.00, JedWard would take pride of place on his bum!
As soon as donations passed £250.00 Ash received a My Little Pony tattoo together with the LeeStock logo, then when the magic £1,000.00 barrier was broken, JedWard made an appearance! Local tattooist Sam Smith provided the materials and artistic skill to create the m-arse-sterpiece. Up until 5 minutes before the artwork began Ash was expected a 5x5inch tattoo. Sam had different ideas once he saw the size of his ‘canvas’!
Ash and his fiance, Bekka Gifford, hand decorated some vests, each adorned with the LeeStock logo. The vests were sold at the festival whilst Ash was being decorated.
Asked if he is now proud of the tattoo, despite his dislike for its subject, Ash said: ‘I am well proud of it and will still get it out any time anyone asks about it.’
